Lorraine  Vallero

Ranch Home Warm.JPG

When I retired in 2015, I was excited that I could finally dedicate much more of my time to art. I draw inspiration from nature and from our built environment and enjoy the process of making the shapes work within the four sides of a sheet of paper. I like to watch juicy watercolor washes mingle on the paper or see the pigment hit and miss as a nearly dry brush is dragged across the paper. I am primarily a self taught artist; although I’ve benefitted tremendously from opportunities to learn from several outstanding artists including Frank Eber, Karen Frey, Tom Fong, Ken Hosmer, and Mike Bailey. I suspect all artists must be their own best teacher.

Lorraine Vallero will be showing new paintings, this is artwork from last year's show.
